MY PC IS DEAD!

This is awful! I really want to get my work/studies/game on done and my computer just won't power on/turn on/boot up. I've tried everything like pressing the power button, checking the power cord and even pressing the reset button, but nothing is working! Could it be that there's something wrong with the motherboard? I'm totally confused. Any tips
